About me

I have been working for NFO since 2019. I’ve been helping teachers to create teaching materials and skill. I encourage the kids to study harder, be respectful, be discipline, love and care for each other. When there is volunteer I do the schools orientation and help them to plan some activities with the kids. I like to work with the kids and help them to understand about the important of education and create a path way of poverty.

Thun Rachana - Teacher at Khnarong School 

About me:

First of all, let me say hello. My name is Rachana. I am 31-year old. I am a pre school teacher (for government school) and also a teacher at NFO. ​ I have been teaching children at Khna Rong School for 10 years. I love teaching to the children and my passion is help them to have a better Education.

Hang Sreypov  - Teacher at Thun Mon School 

About me:

   Hello, My name is Hang Sreypov. I am 28 years old. I live in Bakod village in Takeo province. Now day I am an English teacher at NFO school in the afternoon.I am single, I live with my mom. I have 8 members in my family. I have 4 brothers and a sister. I am a last child in my family. My father was a monk since 2017.My mom is a farmer. I has been work in Education as an English teacher since 2015 after I finished high school. Frist experience I worked at SKS school the location is in Kirivong , Tonlap market in Takeo province. It’s 45 km far away from my home.  I was a primary teacher in Super Kids School. After three years I became a part of coordinator. I have been joining short course at Phnom Phen for three months, which is SKS support. And I have learned lots of experience form my team works. I know that being a good teacher is not easy. One day, SKS brought 7 habits for to apply in school. After they learned 7 habits staff and children have changed. And I learned LOTS from SKS. And Covid 19 came school is off, but SKS still touch online. At the moment I left from education to apply for another job. In 2019 I got a new job which is a GPS controller. I have trained three months in Batdombong province. And I arrived to work at Seyhanok province on national road 4 and 48. There was 2 years as a GPS controller, I got a lot of experiences. The project was end and I needed move to another province, but I didn’t go. In 2023 I came back and work in Education as an English teacher in SKS again. Just only a year I left again. I was applying job as a teacher but in Takeo town next to my home. Now day I work as a primary morning class and part time at SPS Takeo campus and afternoon I am a teacher at Thun Mon which NFO school. For my experiences as a good teacher is not difficult, but not easy. Anyways, I love children and education so I willing do my best.

Bettina Friedl -  Health Care Professional 

Bettina Friedl is a qualified nurse based in Zurich, Switzerland, with a passion for humanitarian work. Her career has been defined by a deep commitment to supporting vulnerable communities around the world.

In 2012, Bettina volunteered as a nurse in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where she became deeply involved with an orphanage in Takeo. Her role expanded as she worked alongside the children, helping with school administration and providing much-needed care. Following the sudden death of the orphanage director, Bettina, along with two dedicated colleagues, took on the monumental task of re-housing all the children and restructuring the organization as an educational provider, ensuring that the children’s future was safeguarded.

After her colleagues moved on, Bettina remained dedicated to the project and took full responsibility for running the organization. She navigated the challenges of this transition with resilience, building a foundation for sustainable growth and continued support for the children.

Today, Bettina is a health consultant with a government resettlement project, where she works with refugees to ensure they receive the care and support they need during the resettlement process. Her extensive background in healthcare and her hands-on experience in international humanitarian work continue to guide her efforts to improve the lives of those in need.

Bettina's journey is a testament to her unwavering dedication to making a positive impact, whether through healthcare, education, or her ongoing work with displaced individuals.


Robin Konieczny – Youth Work Specialist & Education Consultant

Robin Konieczny is a seasoned youth work specialist and education consultant with over four decades of experience in youth engagement, education management, and international development.

Robin’s career has been dedicated to fostering youth participation, shaping policy, and developing innovative programs that empower young people. As the former Commissioning and Service Development Manager for Norfolk Children’s Services, he led numerous initiatives, including youth parliament programs, school council development, and youth scrutiny of council services. His work has played a crucial role in embedding young people's voices in decision-making processes.

Beyond the UK, Robin has provided expert consultancy on youth empowerment and civic engagement across Brazil, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Romania, Germany, and Cambodia. He has worked with governments and organizations such as the UK Department for International Development and various international universities on best practices in youth participation.

Holding an MA in Education Management and qualifications in teaching and youth work, Robin continues to contribute his expertise as a freelance development officer, guest lecturer, and international trainer. His work remains focused on equipping educators, organizations, and policymakers with the tools to create meaningful opportunities for young people worldwide.
